Life Lessons from Kim K. (and Sweat-Skirts)
Skirt: Nordstrom Rack // Tank: Nordstrom Rack // Jacket: Forever 21 (similar - only $25!) //
Sneakers: Nike (similar linked below)
I wasn't sure about posting these photos at first, but if there's one thing we can learn from Kim K, it's to flaunt our curves even if we're feeling ick or just kinda off. And I was just feeling kind of off here, a little bloated and funky. One time I read online that Kim felt terrible, body-image wise, after giving birth to North - but did good ol' Kim K sit at home in sweatpants? No, she put on bodycon midiskirts and dresses and showed off her figure, even though she didn't feel as confident as she did pre-baby.
This skirt is a lifesaver. It's made out of sweatpant material, but it's tight and hugs my curves in a way that makes me feel glam even though I'm literally wearing a sweat-skirt and Nikes. It lifted me out of a crummy body-image mood and was super easy to pair with an olive army jacket (this is Forever 21 from a couple years ago, similar pieces are linked below) and a black super-stretchy cami. The skirt is definitely coming to Salzburg with me this fall!
So I challenge you - next time you're feeling gross or bloated or a little out of it, throw on an outfit that shows off something you're proud of about your body (NOT sweatpants!). Trust me, it'll make you feel a million times better.

Such a cute outfit! Love the encouragement that you're giving to show off your curves!

Girl you totally rock this outfit so much! I love the all around sporty feel with the sweat-skirt, tank and tennis shoes! I totally feel you though in that it is so tempting to wear leggings and a baggy T on days you feel gross but you can make yourself look and feel better by dressing up a little bit!!

Thank you for the thoughtful comment!! It's a good challenge to try to ditch clothes that only end up making you feel worse :)
DeleteA sweatskirt? What a brilliant idea! I love being comfy but I hate sweatpants in public, so I kind of need this! Love that it also gave you a confidence boost, you look great!!
